The Sunday Business Post reviewed our market reports featured on 31st January. Our reports detail the impact the pandemic has had on the rental market, one such being that there is less rental demand for one bed apartments at present. We believe this is temporary and will change when the pandemic comes to an end.
This raises the question of will there be continued demand for one beds seeking rents in excess of €2,000 per month given the target market is now very much single people and not couples as they will most likely need more space given there will be an element of home working going forward?
Dublin needs thousands of apartments to meet demand now and in the future. Build to rent has a huge role to play in meeting this demand and mitigating the pending crisis given the number of private landlords exiting the property. In the meantime, we will continue to release accurate reports on the market.
