All-white walls provide a crisp background for the displays of art
As with fashion, the French do interior design well — combining simplicity with playfulness, classic styles with contemporary ones and all things vintage with modern. Effortless chic is their trademark. That’s what Jim Maguire wanted to replicate in his Dublin home when he was decorating it in 2002.
Maguire had just returned from living in Paris, and was renovating the Victorian house, which he had bought in 1983. No 35 Rehoboth Place, which lies off the South Circular Road, had been let while Maguire lived abroad, first in London for 10 years and then in Paris for another 10.
