September is when the autumn season gets into full swing and it was very active with a pick-up in supply and robust demand. Our average selling prices were +4.7% above average asking prices compared to +2.9% in August. 83% of our sales were agreed above asking. Average selling times were very fast at 6.5 weeks and 33% of our buyers required no mortgage funding, compared to 65% in August.
In the rental market, our average monthly rental value was €2,384 per month. 45% of our tenants were working in the technology sector and only 14% of our tenants were Irish.
Key highlights from our September transactional data:
- Our average selling price was €631,105 / €632 per sq. ft.
- The average age of our buyers was 39.
- Investors accounted for just 8% of our buyers this month, compared to 42% in August.
